Doctor's Visit @ 28 weeks

Everything is great! He's kicking and his little heart is beating like a rhythmic drum. I took the hour long glucose test. Dr. McDonald was surprised that this is my fourth pregnancy and yet, this is my first time to take the test. The muted Fanta drink wasn't so bad. I had heard the horror stories, so I was actually expecting it to be more like slightly carbonated metamucil. The heartburn that followed was the biggest bummer (as Piper says). I won't get the results until the next visit, unless something unusual comes up. Our next visit is in three weeks.

In the meantime, I found an awesome site for creating a personalized birth plan. It is used for communicating your ideas for the ideal birth process with your healthcare provider. Of course, one must remember that not every wish is a command. However, I have learned in these thirty-five years, that if you don't make your wishes known, they can not come to fruition!
