On what day of the week will the baby be born?

Monday’s child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is full of woe,
Thursday’s child has far to go,
Friday’s child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s child works hard for a living,
But, Sunday’s child is fair and wise and good and happy.

A great swimmer in the family

Last night, we watched the baby doing what looked like a graceful back stroke. My tummy rippled from left to right and back again. This is pretty impressive for 17 weeks. Cubby teased about having twins. I reminded him of the two sonograms that show only one beautiful baby. Will we have a graceful swimmer or is the baby already growing out of room? YIKES! I don't like that thought.

Fetal Development

We have been visiting this and similar web sites to satisfy our curiosity about our baby's development. It is wonderful to see actual pictures of human development and to have an idea of what our baby might look like at various points throughout the pregnancy. If you share our curiosity click on the following link: Fetal Development

How do I feel today? ...

How do I feel today? Pregnant! I'm frequently tired. When things slow down, I feel slight movements from the baby.

On 8/14/04 Cubby found a web site that sold belly casting kits for pregnant women and convinced me to participate. My best advice, if you should try this at home, is that you apply plenty of vaseline prior to application or you could find yourself in a REALLY STICKY situation, literally. If you want to check out one the product sites see Your Birth Connection. com

This sonograms was taken 6/24/04 (7 weeks). Already a really big difference in size. You can also tell this is going to be a shy baby. Then next anticipated sonogram should be around 9/23/04 (20 weeks) Of course, that's the one that will generate the most interest because we'll be able to narrow the naming choices and stop calling the baby "the baby."  Posted by Hello

This is my belly on 7/21/04. I had already gained 14lbs at this point. I guess this will be a big baby. Cubby is proud of his little overachiever.  Posted by Hello

Okay. We have a lot to do to bring you up-to-date since the beginning of the project. Here is a photo of our first look at the new baby. This sonogram was taken on 6/17 (6 weeks) and shows the baby (then about the size of a paper clip) at about 1 o'clock inside the dark center circle.  Posted by Hello
